An aromatherapy course like this could be highly beneficial. You will learn all about aromatherapy, the various oils and how they affect the body and mind, essential oils, carrier oils, and different all natural cures. There is actually a lot than people think that goes along with aromatherapy as a whole, and there is a lot to be taught. If you are planning to get into any form of alternative medicine than the study of aromatherapy would be beneficial to learn about.

Which carrier oil do most people use? As I use pure emu oil as a carrier oil. And apparently due to its high levels of oleic acid, it will absorb through to all skin layers and to the muscle or bone area you are applying it for. I think that's why it's so good for those suffering from arthritic symptoms.

essential oils can be posioious /toxic if got into a open wound so it is better till it is all healed. skin infections is a contraindication to any treatment, it spreads infection to other parts of the body. Never heard it for scar tissue because there is some oils that helps this problem.

Essential oils are very strong, concentrated and often toxic substances that can be damaging to skin and so should only be used on healty skin. Can irritate and exacerbate infections, varicose veins and should never be used on broken skin unless expressly told to do so by a qualified practitioner.

I don't think there is a required education for this as long as you do not make "medical claims" about your skin care.

I considered doing this myself, even researched some companies that sell the containers and so forth and I decided to have my own business in the industry with a product that is already on the market. I chose a botanically based product that has been in business for 26 years and has absolutely unlimited earning potential.

I'm sure it's allowed!
If you make them properly and label them correctly — with the list of ingredients and a 'warning' that it's homemade.
People do it all the time on e-bay, and I think that's a good place to sell them. Make sure you include (if you should sell on e-bay) information about the book you got the recipie from.

3 drops of essential oil to 10ml (2teaspoons) carrier oil.
6 drops of essential oil to 20ml carrier oil
15 drops of essential oil to 50ml carrier oil
30 drops of essential oil to 100ml carrier oil.

Recipes
The de-stresser= 2 dr lavender, 2dr chamomile 2 dr bergamot
The revitaliser= 2dr lemon 2dr black pepper 2 dr rosemary
The hormone balancer= 3dr geranium 2 dr cypress 1 dr rose
The night of passion= 1dr jasmine 1dr rose 2 dr sandlewood 2 dr ylang ylang
all the above to mix with 20ml carrier oil
you could try mixing with cream but do smaller amounts as it dosent keep so well. enjoy !

as for grapeseed oil it depends on the strength desired, 1%,2% or 3%. if you make a 2% dilution you need 12 drops of essential oil for each ounce (30 ml)so 100 ml at 2% dilution would be about 40 drops. i never put essential oil into a cream by formula. all I ever did was put in what seemed reasonable so I cannot help on that for you
